Inspiring stories of female jazz and big band musicians
and their groundbreaking journey from the late 1930’s to the present day.
A live performance by the Temple University Jazz Band, under the direction
of Terell Stafford, kicks off the evening with Michael Greene,
Executive Producer of The Girls in the Band, introducing the film and holding
a Q&A afterward.

The Girls in the Band has won awards at the Cleveland, Vancouver and Dubai
International Film Festivals and Palm Springs Film Festival.

PARKING: Free self-parking in Franklin Institute Garage. Enter at 21st & Winter Streets
and take elevator to atrium. Bring parking ticket with you for validation at theater.
Upon leaving garage after the event, hand validated ticket to attendant to exit garage.
If parking on street or taking public transit, enter Franklin Institute from 20th Street
at “Business Entrance.”
